所以也來分享一下我的申請過程  

又一道 簡單 健康 的料理

上星期天照例到超市採購一周食材 

本來是想做  香煎鱸魚 Pan-fried sea bass     ( 現在都先規劃好一周菜單 然後才到超市採購所需食材 )

到超市時已近下午兩點        ( 英國的超市 周日通常營業到四點就關門了 )

生鮮櫃檯只剩下一條 病懨懨的鱸魚 孤伶伶地躺在碎冰上

一來賣相不佳     二來一條可能不夠作為兩個人的 主餐

於是 我們買了 鱈魚

這是今晚做的晚餐 -- 薑燒蜂蜜雞肉 

簡單易做  又好吃

難易度:      (以五顆星計算)

Stir-Fried Chicken Fillets with Honey and Ginger

serves for 4

Ingredients:

800g chicken thigh fillets

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 tablespoon light soy sauce

Marinade

¼ cup (clear) honey 

2ts light soy sauce   生抽醬油

2ts shao hsing wine  紹興酒

2ts diced ginger  薑

1ts oyster sauce  蠔油

2ts dark soy sauce  老抽醬油

2ts five-spice powder  五香粉

½ts sesame oil   香油

(1) Combine chicken with marinade ingredients in a large bowl and leave to marinate in the fridge overnight.

(2) Heat oil in a hot wok. Add half the marinated chicken with the marinade and stir fry for 1 minute. Remove from wok and set aside.

(3) Add remaining chicken and stir-fry for 1 minute.

(4) Return reserved chicken to the wok with soy sauce and stir fry for a further 2 minutes or until chicken is just cooked through and slightly caramelised.

小小變化:

** I added some fine beans to make it healthier.   放了豆子

** I put a bit of finely diced chilli in just to give it a kick.   還切了一些些辣椒來加味

** I find Kylie’s cooking different from what I used to know.  She often fries the meat in two goes – fry half first and put aside, and then cook the other half.

今天上街辦了很多事   很有效率的一天

(以下文字   依時間順序敘述)

剛買的 台英合栽 的蘭花

* NHS (National Health Service) 英國醫療服務

接近中午時分到家附近的 medical centre  打算註冊GP (generral practitioner 家庭醫生)

結果 receptionist 說因為我是第一次使用 NHS    所以得先到市中心的 PALS (Patient Advice & Liaison Service) 登記什麼的

於是我們拿著她給的名片  直接衝到市區      (老公在旁邊說  要不先回家吃個中餐然後再上街    No, Sir.  我的個性是 這件事已經拖了粉久了  今天就一鼓作氣辦好它  以解我心中的瘤 )

到了市區順利找到 PALS   接待的年輕小姐非常友善   填了資料   我也看過囉    一切OK   (後面再說明: something went wrong here 我確認資料的時候 沒看仔細 )

在她打資料時  我看了櫃檯旁的傳單簡介  發現有一些工作職缺廣告  後來跟她提起

她說你對哪個有興趣  我可以影印給你

很感動呢   她說我也可以上網去看相關資料 

就在我們的對話中   後方一位男士  走到櫃台來   遞給我們一張紙

是...................NHS 的網址  

真是  感動到不行       人間處處有溫情的啦

My dear friends, 

Yes, we've finally made a move, to a ghost town in South Yorkshire. 

The joy of getting our own place has not yet completely sunk in. We've been here for two weeks or so and still in the mood for exploring the area. We've found Sainsbury's (a fine and affordable supermarket) and Meadowhall shopping centre (about 20 minutes drive) - they are things that matter to me most at this stage of life.

這兩個月都在找房子

昨天剛才付了租金的訂金

接下來是  credit check (居住者的信用調查) 等

如果一切順利  我們會在兩周內搬到  South Yorkshire

英國夏令時間 British Summer Time (BST)

今年 3月29日周日凌晨一點 英國各地將時鐘往前調一個小時

正式宣告 夏令時間 的到來 

所以目前台灣跟英國的時差 也只有 7 個小時囉

終究該 走 出去

這兩百多天的混雜情緒

無形的枷鎖

是該面對  及  處理

這才深刻體會    大自然是多麼無私   多麼寬容

恁我徜徉其中
